An “umdze” is the time keeper or chant leader for sitting meditation. Being an umdze is an opportunity to deepen your own practice while also serving others. The umdze takes the seat as an elder practitioner providing an example of all the forms we practice in our lineage.
Whether you are currently an umdze who wants to develop further in your practice, or you are a practitioner who is familiar with the daily chants and would like to learn to umdze and understand all the shrineroom forms, you are invited to attend this training. The training is free of charge and no preregistration is required. There is no obligation to become an umdze after the training. We hope to see you there!
