Planned Giving- How to Name Shambhala in Your Will
People who wish to make a bequest to a part of the Boulder Shambhala Meditation Center in their will or other testamentary document may wish to specify the entity or purpose to which they wish their gift to be designated.
Giving to Shambhala in the United States
Shambhala International (Vajradhatu) is the principal corporation in the United States. It is a Colorado nonprofit corporation and has been determined to be a charitable church organization and association of churches by the Internal Revenue Service.
Giving to a Specific Shambhala Center
Most US Shambhala Centers and dharma centers (except Shambhala Mountain Center) are corporate divisions within Shambhala International (Vajradhatu a 501(C)3 non-profit organization). If you wish to make a gift to a US center, you may do so as follows:
“I give fifty thousand dollars to the Boulder Shambhala Meditation Center, a division of Shambhala International (Vajradhatu), a Colorado nonprofit corporation and a church of the Buddhist religion.” For more information about planned giving, please contact:

Become a Volunteer
We continuously welcome and appreciate volunteer and work-study help with ongoing and special projects. Please consider helping with projects from administrative work, newsletter mailings, and building upkeep to coordinating teaching visits, program registration, and assisting at Shambhala Training Levels. Contact Jeff Scott at (303) 444-0190 x125 or
jeff@boulder.shambhala.org.
Volunteers do a large part of the work at the Boulder Shambhala Center. Without these amazing community members, programs, special events, daily practice and general maintenance of the Center could not happen. We rejoice in the gifts of these generous, genuine people. Please join us in creating enlightened society!
Work Study Positions- Our Generosity Policy
We offer unlimited work exchange opportunities and limited partial scholarships for all programs and classes. Members of the Boulder Shambhala Meditation Center are also offered program discounts for many programs. We have a "generosity policy," in which anyone should be able to attend programs, regardless of financial concerns. If you are in need of financial support, contact us prior to the class or program you are interested in attending for work study arrangements.
To discuss volunteering or work study arrangements, contact Jeff Scott at (303) 444-0190 x125 or jeff@boulder.shambhala.org or view our current list of available positions. |
